I was finally able to get my Typhoon Sword for my Mugen from Samurai Champloo. It was a great price actually.
The only thing I have to say about this sword is that It pissed me off when I brought it home, took it out of it's box, and the metal piece on the top AND on the bottom BOTH came off. I was steamed. I have been admiring this sword for some time now, so I was pretty happy when I was able to buy the damned thing. It was stressful to think that I had waited so long, only to have it falling apart right after I brought it. Luckily I was able to correct the problems by gluing it back together. -.-;; And not with a hot glue gun. You'd think that they would use better resources if they are going to ask for so much, an considering how Cosplay Props seem to be in such a high demand, they would take more pride in their work. -Head shake-
It's pretty cool that an anime was SO awesome that a person actually forged a real blade from something he saw on a cartoon. By the way, does it have that hidden knife on the other end of the sheath?
Ah no, but tha was built in later in the series, and only appeared in ONE episode so Mugen to defeat a samurai that was virtually indestructible. It never appeared again in the series, so I guess they didn't include it in the Typhoon Sword. Which makes sense, it wasn't a large part of his character. Maybe they included it in others, I may have to look.
You are still able to see it in earlier episodes. Sure, he doesn't use it, but you can see the line that separates the handle from the sheath in some episodes. Look closely in the one with the Tengus and the Opium plants.
-Shruggs- It's not a very detailed sword honestly. Mostly for Cosplaying. It's not even that accurate. I'm sure if there are more accurate ones, it would have the knife, and if they don't, may they burn in hell XD

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
